Private Cloud

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) defines “the cloud” as:

Cloud computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared
pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that
can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction.

So in a practical sense, the cloud simply represents a collection of servers and networks spread out geographically that work together to provide you with reliable and flexible services.

There are three types of clouds:
1. Public Cloud – Infrastructure and services that are completely open to anyone on the internet
2. Private Cloud – Infrastructure and services that are used for private or limited access
3. Hybrid Cloud – A mixture of both public and private cloud infrastructure and services.

J&S Electronic Business Systems operates its own private cloud and integrates with various public clouds.  All of our cloud solutions have been carefully designed to utilize the strengths of the other cloud solutions we offer.  We are official partners with some of the world’s leading technology providers including VMware, Microsoft, AdTran, Symantec, and Barracuda Networks.
